Sativa seeds generally grow taller plants because they reach for the sun. Their leaves are narrow, widespread and long to catch the light and let the flowers catch the light as well. The shape usually is spindly and long. Sativa’s produce a grassy smell and the sticky resin often is very white. These plants take a little more time than their Indica cousins. The end product generally contains a lower CBD level and a higher THC level. The yield often is a little lower than that of Indica plants.

Sativa’s give you energy and therefore are best used during the day. Doctors even perscribe sativa varieties to people with anxiety, depression and a few chronic pain syndromes.
